I've been a SoapUI user for the last five months in my current job, and I've been working with SoapUI Pro 5.1.2 until recently, when I upgraded to SoapUI NG Pro. In both versions I've noticed a distinct lack of stability when working with my projects. I have one workspace with roughly 20 services loaded in as projects. Each project has its own set of WSDLs and schema files, and have their own variety of methods and bindings.
I typically work in one project at a time, but may have to open another project for testing as required. Over time, I notice that SoapUI will start to lag and freeze and run choppily while I am working. This can happen anywhere from 15 minutes in to an hour or two after starting SoapUI for the first time. It is not unheard of for me to have to restart SoapUI at least three to four times during a normal 8 hour shift.
When SoapUI starts having problems, I notice either the RAM usage is near 3GB (out of the 8GB I have), or SoapUI is pegging the CPU at 100%. My system is a Lenovo T530 laptop running an Intel Core i5-3320M @ 2.60GHz with 8GB of ram. As far as I can tell, these are well within the accepted requirement specifications for the program.
Another issue I've noticed is that my SoapUI projects will get "corrupted" over time. The most recent example is Monday evening, I finished my work, closed my projects, and pushed them to our local GIT. Tuesday morning, I was opening one project to assist a DEV in defect testing, and the project would not open. I went through finding five or six of my projects would not open. I pulled those projects back down from our GIT and they worked. No changes were made to the projects between me pushing to GIT and closing SoapUI for the evening.
Am I missing something? Do I potentially have something misconfigured? Any and all help is much appreciated.
