comparing two test steps

Hi , I am new to soapUI. I have a question regarding comparing the results between two test steps.one is a rest request the other is a jdbc one. Rest request returns the value of Get people count where as JDBC request returns the value of number of people in the database. I would like to add an assertion to make sure whether both the results or same or there is a mis-match. any help would be appreciated.
